Spanish courses for foreigners
We recommend that students have at least a B2 level of Spanish. Master's: check the requirements in each case.

Arrival and registration at the Faculty of Biology
To complete your formal registration, please go to the Administration Office (secretaría) of the Faculty of Biology, located on the first floor. There, you will receive a letter with your username and password for accessing the University of Oviedo's Virtual Campus, as well as a certificate confirming the start of your stay.

Groups distribution
Face-to-face instruction has been classified in different types:
1/ Clases expositivas (CEX): This term refers to the lectures.
2/ Seminarios (SEM): Translated as seminars. Discussion activities or practices of a certain
topic will be carried out in this type of classes. Students’ participation is crucial.
3/ Prácticas de laboratorio (PLA): Practical activities carried out in lab. Students
may work both individually or in groups.
4/ Tutorías grupales (TG): Group tutorials. Scheduled activities where the lecturer works with a
small number of students in order to guide them in their autonomous work.
